I appreciate that a version of higher absorbtion turmeric is offered that does not contain black pepper extract (or bioprene) as this causes gastrointestinal reactions for me. I think turmeric in general is a bit over-priced. I have no issues, but I can see that for people that have difficulty swallowing pills, these may not be as easy to swallow as some brands.
I developed osteoarthritis in my left knee early this year. I received the 5 shots in my knee, approved by Medicare. I then took 10 weeks of physical therapy. The pain still persisted and it limited my activities. Before this I had been very physically active. A friend recommended taking a good turmeric supplement, which included an additional ingredient to add in absorbing turmeric. I decided on this brand. Playing safe, as some herbs have a non-desirable effect on me. I took one tablet at with my supper. Within three days the inflammation in my knee significantly decreased. I then started taking it with my breakfast two. The inflammation is almost gone. So I just ordered two more as iHerb was out of the tablets for awhile.
