Well-Tolerated on My Sensitive GutAfter developing severe GI issues, I've flared up with nearly every probiotic I've put in my gut in the past couple years. So I started experimenting with single-strains. This is one of three that I have felt good with and I was so happy to finally find some that I don't react negatively to. For some context in case you're wondering if your situation is anything like mine (and therefore if you can benefit from this strain): I recently had a comprehensive stool analysis come back saying that I had candida overgrowth, severe leaky gut, and low bifido and lacto biotics, as well as some other imbalances (some overgrowth of certain bacteria and generally low diversity). As a point of interest, I've also heard that lactobacillus plantarum (as well as saccharomyces boulardii) can help balance out candida by being antagonistic to it. So here's hoping this helps me and maybe it can help you too :)
These probiotics have been a lifesaver for my gut health! I've noticed less bloating and more regularity since I started taking them. They're easy to incorporate into my daily routine, and I love that they're backed by solid science. A definite must-have for anyone looking to improve their digestive health.
Game changer for me. Had gut issues for 10 years and have been working with a great nutritionist to rebuild my microbiome. Suffering constipation, fatigue, bloating, tummy pain after BM and nothing was working despite doing everything right. Changed from SB probiotics to this strain and immediately got relief from the tummy pain and bloating
I take a lot of probiotics and even though it's also important to have a diverse microbiome, which means supplementing with a variety if you are depleted, and Lactobacillus plantarum is just one of many, but it is also an important one. You can read online resources for the benefits, but Jarrow's specific strain Lp299v is also one that has undergone human clinical trials. One word of caution though, for me at least, taking this on an empty stomach makes me bloated. Does not happen when taken with food and their instructions also suggest taking it with food.

I recently tried Jarrow Formulas Ideal Bowel Support probiotic supplement and I am impressed with the results. As someone who occasionally suffers from digestive issues, I was looking for a natural way to support my gut health and this probiotic seemed like a great option. The capsules contain 10 billion CFU of a blend of probiotic strains that are formulated to support a healthy gut. I also appreciate that the capsules are made from vegetable ingredients, making it suitable for vegetarians. I have been taking one capsule daily with my meal and have noticed an improvement in my digestion and overall well-being. I also like that the product comes in a bottle of 30 capsules, which will last me a while. Overall, I highly recommend Jarrow Formulas Ideal Bowel Support probiotic supplement to anyone looking for a high-quality probiotic that supports gut health.
Well for me and my Histamine Intolerance, it is hard to find a Probiotic my body will like. I was using a Sisu product that is no longer able to come into Canada for months now....I finally searched this L Plantarium strain, tried another brand, no good. BUT This Jarrow seems to be a great quality and working for me! So happy about that!
I've tried a couple of probiotics, and this one is my favourite. My stomach and digestion are noticeably better when I've taken it for a few days. I like to take it at the same time as my iron supplement, because I saw online that this particular strain of bacteria can help with iron absorption. This is a staple in my supplement regiment.
